Our programs bring hands-on engineering experiences to middle-school students—especially in Title I schools—so they can explore how innovation, teamwork, and curiosity shape our world.

🧩  Engineering Discovery Workshops

Ages: Grades 6–8

Format: In-person classroom sessions or weekend events

Students dive into the fundamentals of design, energy, and materials through fun challenges—like building wind turbines, marble coasters, or catapults using household items.
Each session ends with reflection and teamwork lessons that connect creativity to real-world engineering.

Goals:

  • Build curiosity through experimentation

  • Develop collaboration and problem-solving skills

Show that engineering is accessible to everyone

🤖 Robotics & Design Labs

Ages: Grades 7–9

Format: In-school or after-school sessions

These labs combine mechanical design, coding, and robotics to show how engineers turn ideas into motion.
Students learn to use sensors, motors, and design software to create simple robots capable of completing challenges.

Highlights:

  • Introduction to mechanical and electrical systems

  • Real-world applications in automation and robotics

  • Guest sessions led by high school mentors and university students

💬  Mentorship Program

Duration: 6–8 weeks

High school and college mentors guide middle-school students through mini-projects, presentation practice, and career exploration in STEM.
The program emphasizes leadership, communication, and the power of mentorship.

Mentor Focus:

  • Helping students present ideas clearly and confidently

🧪  Materials in Motion

Format: Interactive presentation & experiment series**

This signature program introduces students to materials science—how metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites shape modern engineering.
Students conduct safe experiments like testing material strength, elasticity, and heat resistance.
